Who we are
This policy covers the apps and website of The Unknown Dev Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17469763), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for any personal data described here.

Our approach
Our apps are built to work without accounts, adverts or tracking. We don't sell personal data, and we collect only what an app needs to function. Where data can stay on your device, it does.
FleetWatch
What stays on your device
Saved journeys, recent searches, alert settings and journey tracking are stored and run on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
What is sent to our server
To show live train information, FleetWatch sends requests to our server containing the station codes and train services you look up. These requests don't include your name, contact details or device identifiers. Our server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany.
Like most web servers, ours records technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Location and permissions
FleetWatch does not access your device's location. It uses notification and background-service permissions solely to deliver journey alerts on your device.
Purchases
FleetWatch is sold through Google Play. Google processes your payment; we receive only limited order information such as an order number, date, country and price. We never see your card details. Google's use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete the correspondence when it's no longer needed.
Legal basis
Where we process personal data, such as server logs or emails, we rely on our legitimate interests in running, securing and supporting our services, or on the need to perform our contract with you when you buy an app.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
